Stacey Hamilton, a 55-year-old serial entrepreneur, is the proud mother of two amazing adult children, a fabulous bonus son, and the GiGi of the best grandson in the world. Overcoming personal challenges, including becoming disabled, Stacey has built two successful companies from the ground up through sheer determination and hard work. Now, for the first time, she steps into the role of author with The Elevated Table Cookbook, a project she’s excited to share with culinary enthusiasts and cannabis lovers.

Stacey’s passion for entrepreneurship and community involvement extends across Murfreesboro, Tennessee, where she is active in local initiatives, and Gadsden, Alabama, where her hemp company is based. However, the journey to creating this cookbook came from an unexpected challenge.

In January 2022, the Alabama Department of Health issued a cease-and-desist order on her hemp facility, attempting to force her to halt production and destroy all edible products. After a hard-fought legal battle, including an emergency injunction and a win at the circuit court level, Stacey faced near-bankruptcy. Despite her victory, the Alabama Department of Health filed an appeal, pushing her to reimagine her business.

The Elevated Table Cookbook, featuring The Elevated Table Pantry Items, was born from this reimagining. It serves not only as a collection of cannabis-infused culinary delights but also as a way to fund the ongoing legal fight to protect hemp-based edibles in Alabama. Stacey’s deepest concern is for the consumers who rely on these products for their health and well-being and the hemp industry in Alabama as a whole.
